In 2022 Universität für Weiterbildung Krems (University for Continuing Education Krems) and Institut Seni Indonesia, Yogyakarta (Indonesian Institute of the Arts Yogyakarta) won a Project-based Bernd Rode award for their collaborative research, conducted in the framework of ASEA-UNINET. The title of the application is “From a request to help restore Affandi´s paintings to the first University course for conservators of cultural heritage in Indonesia” and was granted in March 2022. The official Award Ceremony (as part of the ASEA-UNINET Plenary Meeting 2022) will be held in Linz, July 28th 2022. The money granted will be re-invested into the work.
The Bernd Rode Award is granted by the ASEAN-European Academic University Network (ASEA-UNINET) to outstanding scientific and higher education collaborations between its Austrian and South-East-Asian or Pakistani member universities.
